How to Make Fun Friday Fondue

How to Make Fun Friday Fondue

I just have to warn you that nothing good is going to come out of this post. It’s a whole lot of sugar and mess. Having said that, let’s get started!

Let’s start with the ingredients. Honestly, they don’t really matter. You really just need sugar + sugar + sugar. But this is what we did:

INGREDIENTS:

Fondue Ingredients

Fondue Ingredients

Milk Chocolate Chips - 1 bag (don’t use semi-sweet. We tried it. It was gross)
Sweetened Condensed Milk - 1 can
or Caramel - I didn’t know how to find it in the grocery store, because I am smart like that.
Regular milk - maybe 1/8 cup. Just enough to make it the right consistency.
Vanilla - We used our special vanilla from my teeny tiny town back home. But really any vanilla works.
And I ran into this marshmallow creme at the store, so we figured, what the heck?

DIPPERS:

Really, anything goes here. Some of our favorites are:

Strawberries (If we can keep them around long enough to make it into the fondue)
Bananas
Pineapple
Cake
Marshmallows
Apples
Pears

Note: We recently got this fancy fondue thingy, but up until then, we would do all of our fondue in a small slow-cooker, so use whatever works.

Pour all ingredients but the Marshmallow Creme in the bowl, and heat either in microwave or on the stove.

Have the kids cut up all the ingredients, and arrange them oh so “beautifully” on the plate.

Somehow just the thought of sugar brings out a whole lot of energy…
